[Communication Tools](https://help.medessist.com/communication-tools?hsLang=en) # Send Texts & Emails in MedEssist ## Learn how to quickly send freeform texts and emails from MedEssist, plus how to create templates for commonly-sent messages. ### Creating & Sending Text Templates 1\. Click **"Templates"**, then **"Create a Custom Text Template"** from the drop-down. Enter the **patient's phone number** in the top field. Enter the **patient's email address** in the top field.
